Practices are now Thursday Nights from 6PM to Dark at the Watson Soccer Fields. We will be there to fight rain or shine, so feel free to come check things out.
Directions to the Fields:
From Broadway, turn west onto 37th St. NW. Follow 37th St to W. River Parkway. Turn right (north) on W. River Parkway by Hollywood Video. Follow W. River Parkway about 2 blocks north, the fields will be on the left hand side of the road, you can't miss them. The parking lot is on the north end of the fields.
If you need more help finding the fields, let me know!

Well, I'd love for them to go until dark, but folks have been getting tired out by about 7:30. I can be there until its to dark to fight any more, and I'd love to be. Let me know if you'll be coming down, and I'll make sure we're there!!

Will do. I don't know what my work schedule is looking like for this summer. If I have to close the Post Office, I wouldn't be able to make it down until about 7:30, but I have obnoxious quantities of glow sticks and tiki torches, so I'm all ready to fight all night. I'll keep you posted  . We could try to set up a conjoined practice every month or two as well, if that's something you're interested in. I am also trying to set up something like that with the Canadians. |

Does anyone every practice on the weekends in the afternoon? Would anyone be willing to sacrifice a Sat/Sun afternoon to practice with me and show me how everything's done?

I would be willing to do weekend practices if we had enough interest, I have very little open time in my schedule, but i can try to make some time. And yes, fay is from Frozen North. (Twin Cities)

You did! I do all the admin work and run the main realm practice for Frozen North. They call me The Hammer, and you don't want to face my wrath (the Canadians tell me 'tis wrathy). Oh, I'm also in close contact with Thunder Gaurd, SoDak Attack, and an unnamed group in Sioux City Iowa. I'm really interested in getting all the small, sparatic MidWest groups together for some minis and whatnot.
I'll try to make it to a couple of practices this summer, and I'm sure I'll see some of you around at events.

I don't currently have vast amounts of glowsticks, but I could see it as a possiblity. The idea of practicing in the dark is intriguing and I full support it. I often work nights so I think it would be awesome to have night practices. I think weekend practices would also be a bonus, but I also do understand the dilemma of not having enough people to make it worth while. If it were possible though... I would be one of the first people to come to them.

I have a TON of glow sticks. I get 'em for dirt cheep. We've got the in with a couple of locally owned game and specialty stores . Night battles are a lot of fun! I'm thinking about having a Chill'n'grill on June 15th. It may also function as a Toga party. I've been raising money to help out one of our fighters who was injured at an event and has no medical insurance, and I thought it would be an awesome time to present him with the check. Anyway, the idea of holding a large practice and chill'n'grill in Togas is pretty hilarious to me. Would you guys be interested in stopping by? |

perhaps, will have to check schedule and such. However, Fey, how about posting into for it in the events board instead, that way we can try to keep this thread more on topic.
As for night practice, Please don't anyone take this offensively, but i have no intention of running any, glow sticks or no. They just strike me as a bad, painful idea. most of our weapons are covered in either black green or dark red, all of which really disappear in the dark, and i don;t want any broken fighters.

Hey guys. Totally new.
I'll try to make Thursdays as often as I can, I make my own schedule, but I don't want to sacrifice a day every single week, otherwise I don't get off until 9pm (I also think night practices would be a grand idea, and have some insights into how that can be made safer, but to discuss later.)
So, not this week, but next I should be able to show up.
